Welcome to Along With Ari! I’m so excited you’re here. I’m a thirty-something creative who shares stories about my travels, tips, and tricks for how to make travel work for you!
I took the leap to move abroad in 2014. I had wanted to take a break before “starting my life”. Since then, I’ve made homes in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and most currently, Shanghai, China.
Through my travels, I started to document and share my life as I learned to navigate adulthood outside of the United States. What started as a memoir and travel diary turned into itineraries and how-to’s with the odd thought piece or two about what my mind is fixated on at the moment.
What you’ll find from this page is not just the 24-hour itineraries or the best places to take an Instagram photo, but also a different perspective as an Asian American living in Asia and how it has impacted the way I interact with the world. It’ll also contain things I learned about being an adult that my parents or school never taught me. You know, like… investing while abroad or how the heck to adjust to a big international move.
